So you want to do something fun with a group of friends, but you’re tired of the same old dinner party and drinks?  How about a cheese and wine tasting, led by a professional cheesemonger?  Why pay to take a class with strangers when you can have me come to your house and provide you and your guests with an informative cheese tasting, paired with a number of compatible wines.

I can tailor a party to your particular taste and to your budget.  Want to go local, with Vermont cheeses and East Coast wines?  How about an Italian evening?  Or even a geographical tasting, comparing goat cheese and Chardonnays from all over the world?  All raw milk cheeses? All dessert wines? The possibilities are endless!

I will present to each guest a plate of 5-8 cheeses, and 2-4 wines to pair with them.  Guests will also receive a print out with information and space for note taking. Depending on the number of cheeses and wines, the tasting itself usually takes about an hour.  The tasting is particularly effective as a pre-dinner ice breaker or a tasting of dessert wine and cheeses would be a wonderful end to a meal.  Of course it can easily be the evening’s entertainment on its own. You’ll learn about the different types of cheeses and how they’re made, and some hints and tips for pairing.  Anyone who knows me knows I am passionate about cheese and wine, and I can’t wait to share my expertise with you and your friends!
